Leading this week’s releases are Battlestar Galactica Season 4.5, as well as Battlestar Galactica: The Complete Series. Season 4.5 is the final half season of the Syfy show, and The Complete Series collects all 4 seasons.
Both Season 4.5 and the Complete Series are available on DVD and Blu-Ray.
Bonus Features on Season 4.5 will include commentaries by Ronald D. Moore, David Eick, and Edward James Olmos, Ronald D. Moore’s Podcast Commentaries, David Eick’s Video Blogs, deleted scenes, and featurettes ("Evolution of a Cue", "The Journey Ends: The Arrival", "So Say We All", "Manifesto Destiny", "Battle-Style Galactica", "Martyr To A Cause", "The Sins of The Forgiven", "Battlestar Revelations"). The Blu-ray release will also include additional U-Control and BD-Live functions.
The Best Price for Battlestar Galactica Season 4.5 this week is $31.99 for the DVD at Amazon and Best Buy, and $39.99 for the Blu-Ray at Best Buy.
The best price for Battlestar Galactica: The Complete Series is $171.99 for the DVD at Amazon, and $209.99 for the Blu-Ray at Amazon and Best Buy.
Also releasing this week is Fast & Furious, the 2009 action movie is the 4th in the Fast and Furious series.
Fast & Furious is available as a Single-Disc release, a 2-Disc Special Edition DVD, and on Blu-Ray.
The only extra material on the 1-disc release will be a commentary with Director Justin Lin and a gag reel. The 2-disc releases will include that, along with featurettes ("Under The Hood: Muscle Cars & Imports", "High Octane Action: The Stunts", "Shooting the Big Rig Heist", "Driving School With Vin Diesel"), an original short film "Los Bandoleros", a "Blanco" Music Video, a digital copy, and trailers. The Blu-ray release will also include additional U-Control features including a virtual car garage.
The best price for Fast & Furious this week is $14.99 for the Single-Disc edition at Amazon and Best Buy, $22.99 for the 2-Disc Special Edition at Amazon, Best Buy, and Target, and $21.49 for the Blu-Ray at Amazon.
Other releases this week include the first Doctor Who Special of 2009, Planet of the Dead, which is available in HD for the first time. Also releasing this week is Green Lantern: First Flight, as well the first season of Joss Whedon’s Fox TV show, Dollhouse.
