How-to: Use Live.com Cashback

Live.com Cashback is a program Microsoft offers with their live search, that pays you a percentage back whenever you make a purchase through live.com

To use Live.com Cashback you must a Windows Live ID, which can be registered here by clicking the sign-up button:

After registering you can log-in on the same page.

Then from main Live Cashback Website you can search for an item and see what cashback is available, or you can browse the list of stores by name or category.  Each store lists a percentage next to it, this is what percentage of money you get back if you make a purchase there.  Note this almost always applies to the cost of the items, and doesn’t include shipping or tax if applicable.

When you find a store you want to go to to get cashback, click the go to store button:

It will take you to the store, where you can complete your purchase.

After you do the purchase will show up in your Account Summary as pending.  There is a 60 day waiting period before the money is available for you to withdrawal.

With Live Cashback you can be paid 3 ways:

Paypal, Bank Deposit, or you can have a check mailed to you.  You can choose the payment method you prefer here.

Note you must have $5 in earned cashback to request payment, once you have earned at least $5 you can request payment anytime.

If you have made a purchase, and it doesn’t appear in your account, you can email them through their support page and have it added to your account.  To do need you will need to forward them the order confirmation you received from the store.
